In this article though I want to show you how you can make your own informational product and sell it online. But first you need to survey your self a little bit. You need to focus on things that you really love to do, your expertise, and your hobbies and so on.

Things that you’re really passionate about are very important! When you’re doing something you love its fun and you don’t even know that you’re actually working. Have you heard that old saying "Do what you love and the money will follow?" This is very true and I’m a living testimonial of this.

OK! Now let’s say you finally figure out what you like to do and you decide to do something around plumbing because this is what you love to do and you’re an expert in this field so it makes sense.

So the big question now is how are you going to create an information product around plumbing? Well this is piece a cake. First you need to find out what people are actually looking for about plumbing.

The keyword phrase plumbing is very general and what you need is specific keyword phrases that people are actually looking for. Let’s say on a daily basis there’s a million people searching for "plumbing supply".

So now you know you have a demand what you need to find out now is how many suppliers there is that actually fill this market. The rule of thumb is finding a huge demand but low in supply (this means less competition).

OK! What is an information product anyways? And how can you join in this multi-billion dollar a year business?

An information product is a knowledge based product that teaches and shows people to do things, the "HOW TO’S" or it helps people solve their problems, and educates and trains them. This can be in the form of either a physical or digital product.

A physical product is simply something tangible, (something you can hold and touch like books, cd’s, DVD’s, manuals and so on) and this product can be delivered through the mail. Digital products are the products you buy online via download or instant access through membership or subscription based and this can be an eBook, report, a video or audio.

Although either physical or digital can be very profitable I would like to focus more on the digital product because of all the advantages it has. Also, I’ve been doing this (selling information products) for years now and I can tell you everything I know based on my experience.

Let me explain why a digital product is the perfect product to sell online. First is the delivery, you can deliver the product (automatically) in a matter of minutes, pretty cool eh!

People will buy your product and after you’ve received the payment they get the product (via downloads or instant access) right away and it doesn’t matter if it’s 2:00 AM or your customer is on the other side of the world. How AMAZING is that?

It’s easy to make, if you can write, shoot a video or talk then you can create an informational product. The great thing about it is once you create the product you can sell it over and over again (forever as long as there’s an internet) imagine that!

There’s very little or no cost to produce, no inventory, you don’t need to rent a storage and product availability is 24/7 around the world. Talk about customer service!

The sky is the limit with your profitability! With no shipping, no inventory, no employees that means more money in your pocket and like what I said earlier once it’s created it sells over and over, all day long!

Last but not the least; you have full control of the product. You hold the copyright, set your own price and much more. This business can give you all the advantage on your side.
