Folks as you probably know a blog is now a business ‘must-have.’ The typical sites are no longer going to work we’re in the social media era, where people or your customers want to interact with you, if you have a static website I would recommend to change it to a blog platform.
In today’s post I would like to talk about how you can use your blog to sell your products or services. Many small businesses today are using a blog as their central site for their products and services.
It acts like a store front, what I mean by that is they are using their blog to generate leads and potential buyers, generate sales and repeat sales, communicate with their customer base and build a solid relationship with their market, now this is powerful.
But there’s a process and I will tell you exactly how and all this is based on my own experience. A Blog that sells is actually based on what your blog provides or offers to your market; it also has to do with how your blog is structured and the atmosphere, I will break this down in a little bit.
Now like what I said earlier small business are using a blog as their store front right where they interact with their customers it’s like a restaurant for example or a mom and pops PC store. The big question now is how are you going to bring people or potential buyers to buy your products and services right? So here it is…
First is the "LOOK" Yes! The look and feel matters not just the design but the overall look and feel it has to grab your visitors’ ATTENTION that will make them stop and say WHOA! To do this you need to customize the header graphics of your blog and make sure your header graphics convey and deliver your message with a simple but unique design.
If possible put your business logo or your picture if you’re branding yourself, also be careful with choosing the color and make sure it’s not too busy that make your customers eyes hurt!
Making your header graphics design unique and pleasant to look at will stand out among all the other blogs out there and when they go to your blog it will catch their attention so that they will read the rest of your post.
Second is the atmosphere now this is easy you don’t want your blog to look like a giant billboard full of ads you will scare your visitors it’s like going to the restaurant the moment you come in the receptionist asks you to buy this or buy that rather than greet you first by saying "Welcome To Our Place."
So the atmosphere of your blog should be clean and not too busy, your page should be white, the text is black and just welcome your visitors first before you pitch something!
Now you need to structure it according to your business this requires testing to see which one will work for you.
Mine as you can see has three columns, content on the left then 2 sidebars on the right pretty basic, right? The reason being the content column is on the left is because the majority of human beings across the globe read from left to right this makes it easier for your readers and visitors, remember everyone likes it easy.
Don’t forget your major navigation should be obvious and visible, I put mine on top below the header graphic. OK! Folks this is very important and this will help make the sales process easy for you and your customers and this is your content.
Your content should be valuable and beneficial to your readers so your readers and visitors will come back for more. Your content can be in regular text format, video or audio. Based on my experience I always get high response and traffic when I post a video, I simply make a short but informative video and upload it to youtube.com.
When you post you should give value and information that will benefit your readers and talk about a topic that relates to your products or services and this way you can link some of your product. Also in this way you’re NOT pushing sales you’re actually helping them.
Like for example on my blog I will talk about driving laser targeted traffic to your blog and I will give them very valuable tips and I will simply link the word "Laser Targeted Traffic" to VegasTrafficJam.com and guess what my readers will click that link and that’s what leads to sales.
Remember this is exactly what I do here on my blog and for years now I still make a consistent income without paying a dime on advertising Yes! My blog does all this.
Now that you know these simple strategies you should apply them to your own blog. That’s it guys hope you picked up a few ideas that will help you with your blogging. Take care folk and love you!
Till Next Time and God Bless You!

When you have a visitor come to your site or blog, typically, they decide within 5 seconds if they are going to stay on your site or leave. The first thing they see is your header graphic. If your header is not attractive or appealing, then the visitor is gone within 10 seconds and never gets to see what it is that you are offering.
This is why you want to have a great looking header graphic that looks professional. One such site that is currently under construction in another niche of mine, I have speant some time into designing that appealing header…. [edited]

Hi Albert …
Thanks for sharing this incredible testimonial!
What’s so amazing is that most people would never think of creating an online presence for a Master Mechanic with a physical location.
Not only will he be able to market his DVD, generate revenue from adsense, and market other products he is also building a strong relationship online that will transfer business into his shop!
The possibilities are endless here….Questions & Answers … instructional courses etc. It won’t be long before Jeff’s website will bring in more revenue than his shop!
Wish you the best!
Robert Avila
PS. Jeff’s site really looks clean .. nice work on the graphics. Being an ASE Certified Master Mechanic with a professional looking website …. he is definitely going to crush the competition.
