Are You A Worker Bee?

A couple years ago I wrote this article "Are You a Worker Bee?" and it really created a BUZZ on my NBR! Blog (my other blog).

I wrote this article to inspire and motivate myself (I could really use it right now!) and others. If you’re blue right now about your Biz or just feel a little down just read this to reload yourself with some inspiration and motivation!

And the article goes…

Worker bees by definition are sterile bees specialized to collect food and maintain the hive.

It’s a darn workaholic thing, OK!

These little fellas work. I mean they work from the day they’re born to the day they die. That’s the only purpose they have is to work, work, and work. Some bees change tasks or duties but they still just work all the time.

When summer comes they will be a guard or a soldier and during the winter they will be worker bees or something else. But worker bees! They are worker bees forever.

You see I researched about these because in some ways it’s kind of similar to some of us. We work, work, and work. The sad thing about it is some of you have worked from the time you were teenagers until you get old and about to die (Worker Bee Instinct!), I’m sorry it’s sad but this the truth. 

Many of us have been taught by our parents, school, and the media that if you do well in school you’ll get a nice paying JOB! Yes a JOB is good but it could be better.

You see lots of seniors have retired and a little while later they have to go back to work because of a lack of finances or it’s just not enough to support them. Don’t get me wrong I think everybody should work you’re not gonna go anywhere if you’re lazy anyways.

But you can work smart and not be a worker bee, you have a choice.

So Are You A Worker Bee? I don’t know about you but I’m more like a boss bee if there is one (Ha! Ha!). I’m the one that tells everybody else what to do.

We’ll it’s not exactly like that, I still have my own work to do, and whatever else my wife tells me LOL! I can out source or delegate some but not all. But what I’m saying is we can break the cycle. 

Instead of being a just a number or a worker bee why don’t you try to be a boss bee (Entrepreneur). Everyone has power, yes let me say that again everyone has power to make changes in their life.

You have an option or choice to turn things around it’s your call you know. You see, you control your life and most of the time it’s your mindset that prevents you from ever changing your financial situation!  Or whatever situation you’re in.

Yes! I said the mindset because the majority of people or at least the ones that I know friends, family, ex-coworkers, and so on are so negative or they under-estimate themselves when it comes to starting their own business whether online/offline, you can convince yourself either way with your mindset.

Tell yourself you can do it and eventually it will happen, tell yourself you can’t and it will never happen it’s as simple as that.

I said this because quite often I get questions what should I do and how should I do it? They get excited and the moment I tell them what they need to do they’re like OH! I can’t do this I can’t do that with out even trying and yet everyday they’re complaining about their situation in life, the bills that they can’t pay, my boss didn’t give me a raise, I didn’t get approved for my vacation and it just goes on and on…

So if you just change your mindset to "OK! This year I’m just going to do it, No excuses! This kind of mindset actually will lead you to success.

What I’m saying here is you can break that Worker Bee Mindset (instinct) in you that you need to work all your life and retire when your 70 years old.

I think that’s bunch of crap! (Yeah that’s what I said crap) You can do better than that you know! Well if your passion is to work for someone else all your life and you’re happy to do it that’s fine, after all having a business is not for everyone, but if you’ve been wanting to start your own online business for a long time you need to do it right now YES! As in right now.

My friend I’m going to leave you a couple of questions to think about and here it is…

Are you going to act and actually do something about your business or are you just simply a Worker Bee?
