Make Money Blogging

Folks in this post I want to update you on some of the things I’m doing offline and share with you a few tips OK? We all know that this economy is really stressing many people and some have just had enough already, and here in Vegas it’s really bad I’ve never seen this ever before.

It seems everyone I know is going through some kind of difficulty and I know this is very tough I’ve been there and it’s scary, but you just need to be positive with everything and learn how to weather the storm.

It’s NOT gonna be like this forever so just hang on tight! OK! with this said some very good friends of mine, Charlie Bass (President of Las Vegas Internet Chamber of Commerce), Beau Penaranda, and Mike Perry, and I are putting together a workshop on "How You Can Make Money Online".

Yep, we’re going to teach a variety of ways on how to make money online, like for example how to make money blogging, on ebay, and with info product creation so make sure you’re on my list to get my updates on this.

We don’t have a specific date yet but we feel that we need to do this to help out our fellow entrepreneurs and help out people to make extra cash or better yet do this fulltime. So again make sure that you’re on my list so you’ll know when this event will take place.

NOW! I would like to share this tip with you and I actually used this strategy way back when I was looking for a JOB and it works, you know me I test everything. OK this is for the people that are looking for a JOB or just get laid off.

You know it’s tough out there and really hard to find a JOB now a days it’s like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. If there’s one job opening there will be thousands of applicants.

I would like to talk about this because I understand having a business is NOT for everybody some people they just need a job right now and don’t really care for starting a business at this time.

Ok! you know here in Vegas there’s plenty of job openings but the problem is it’s too competitive and you need to stand out from the crowd so the employer will notice you and hopefully hire you.

So here’s what you need to do rather than just submitting an old fashion resume why NOT make a power point presentation of yourself and put it on CD with a nice jewel case you know most business now these days have a PC and guess what?

Out of thousands of resumes they’ve received yours is on the CD format and they’ll be curious what’s in it and they’ll think "Man! This applicant is really smart" to come up with this kind of idea.

BTW: I did this myself a while back and it worked for me :) Another thing you can do is setup a free blog account either wordpress or blogger (<<–Link) and blog about yourself (Sell yourself and your expertise) and talk about your job experience and what you can do for their company.

Emphasize that you can be an asset because of related job experience and expertise, link this to all Job hunting sites online, use craigslist and twitter too and guess what you will definitely will stand out of the crowd versus the typical resume.

Also when you communicate with them always provide them with multiple contact information such as email address, phone number and so on… that way they can contact you in any way!

Again whatever you’rer doing you need to persuade them and sell yourself (There’s nothing wrong with that) and tell them why they should hire you, and be confident about yourself.

OK! I hope this will help you or some of you that needs a JOB right now and whatever I can do to help please do NOT hesitate you can contact me just click the contact us on the navigation.

NOW! If you want to take it to the next level and make money with your blog well you need to check out my ebook "Vegas Traffic Jam"

This is exactly what I do to make consistent income with my blog and you don’t need to be an expert to do this so check them out here’s the link again "Vegas Traffic Jam"

Again Hang in there it’s tough everywhere but you need to keep your head up and speak positive in your life, just a thought from me love you guys!

That’s it and feel free to comment! (Don’t be Shy!) also when you comment and you have URL to your site it will show on the sidebar of this blog and guess what you’ll get some of my traffic!

Please do me a huge favor if you know anyone that can benefit from this information please forward this post by using the SHARE THIS below, I’ll promise you they’ll thank you for it!

Till Next Time and God Bless You!

  • Nice post and very relevant. My primary job is as an accountant, maybe my online presence should be more about that! Food for thought.

  • Hi Albert

Great post about getting a J.O.B.

I’ve never heard of this method before.

    Keep your tips coming

    Thanks

    Jim

  • I believe that online business is one of the business that is recession proof and comes in handy in this tough time.

  • Great Topic Albert!

That is what your viewers need also a training session to help guide them through the proper steps. I have been doing some research on the unemployment rate here in the US.

Our Government shows us the rate is now around 9% but if you dig a little deeper you will find it is truly 13% – 16%

They do not include those who have fallen off the grid (those who have ran out of unemployment benefits) or are working jobs they are over qualified for… Many other things I don’t have time to list.

Help your viewers now Albert when they need you and they will not forget you later. ;-)

    • Hi Ed,

Yes Ed I heard that it’s going to be a lot higher than 9% they’ve also said it’s going to get worst before it’s get better but like what I said we just need to think positive and pray can’t go wrong with that. Yeah I really want to help my readers and members in this crisis in any way I can…

Thank you Ed you’ve always supported me I apprecite that Ed

  • Hi Albert,

Great idea about doing a powerpoint presentation. You could put the presentation on a DVD, and you could add a short video introduction to the DVD to make it a little more personable.

I would be willing to bet there is someone online who has details on how to do something like this. If not, someone feel like creating a new product?

    Mike

  • Hi Mike,

I like the DVD idea didn’t thought of that! Yeah! I think it’s great product idea don’t you think?

Thank You Mike for stopping by and I am glad to see here all the time!!

    Thanks’

  • I do contract work, so I deal with *a lot* of recruiters. They are inundated with applicants these days, so they have to make it easy on themselves. They only accept Word file, so that they can put resumes into their company’s database.

A small company, looking to hire a permanent employee *might* take time to look at a CD or DVD, On the other hand, in the HR department, they are usually looking for ways to weed out resumes. They don’t like anything different, even though your potential manager might.

I’m guessing here, but I would say there is a 95 percent chance that if you only send a CD, you will be eliminated from consideration.

On the other hand, if you get a job interview, and you leave the CD with the interviewer, you will make a more lasting impression. I would say, make sure you make a nice label for the CD (printed on your computer), that has your name and contact info on it, and put it in a clear, slim case.

As for DVDs, you may be caught between technologies, because older PCs at many corporations may not play them. And netbooks (the newest laptops) don’t have CD or DVD drives.

So I would use the CD as a deal clincher, not as your only resume.

    For what it’s worth…

  • Hi Kathleen,

Hey thank you so much! Very good point and I agree that you should stay with CD instead of DVD.

    >>>"I’m guessing here, but I would say there is a 95 percent chance that if you only send a CD, you will be eliminated from consideration"

Not necessarily if you’re applying locally I mean around your area it’s better to go to a company and talk to their human resources and drop off your CD most of the time it works I did this like years back!

Also in todays job hunting you need to be bold and persistent so you’ll stand out! Many people would do just about anything now a days just to get a job so you need to be creative to compete.

Again thank you for your input and taking the time to give your opinion on this it really help my readers and BTW: very good point!

  • Hi Albert,

Excellent ideas for those seeking employment in this challenging economy. Leveraging technology is very powerful and easier to launch than many may think. The examples you shared are so simple anyone can take action and get the ball rolling immediately!

I would even take things to the next level and start pounding the pavement. It’s no different than a sales rep prospecting for business and cold calling. This will give job seekers an opportunity to meet the receptionist at several corporations and build relationships. Now when a candidate follows up with a phone call…. they actually “know” the receptionist answering the phone!

    Wish you the best!
