On my last week’s blog post “Make Fast Cash With Local Business” I had a video and that day I had tons of phone calls and messages. As you can see the Skype screenshot below:
This just goes to show you the power of video with your marketing. I did NOT do any special effects or use any sophisticated software to edit my video.
Actually I just used the good old Flip camera and had my wife shoot the video. But man my phone rang off the hook. Even this morning (Monday March 15) as you can see the phone calls continued.
I just returned a call from Friday that I missed and this particular guy is very interested in being a Local Business Consultant and would like to hire me to coach him and build him a blog of his own.
In that way he has something to show his client’s which is necessary if you want to be consultant you gotta have your own blog so you can show your client’s what you’ve done previously and to also to let them know that you’re actually doing this. You gotta do what you preach, ya know?
Another great phone call this morning is from my friend in Chicago that I coached and he just closed a deal and we’ll start the project ASAP actually the deadline is this coming Saturday so I better get busy
So what did I do to make my phone ring? Well it was simple really I just optimized my blog post to get Laser Targeted Traffic and this way I can get organic traffic from Google, which now puts my post on the first page of Google for the keyword “Fast Cash With Local Business.”
Also in my video just before it ends I put my phone number. But here’s the thing these folks took action because they see me on the video that I am a real human.
The more personal the better, I put my phone number the key is “transparency” and credibility because I am not just talking about it but I am actually doing it.
I just want to share this with you I thought it would be valuable to you that using a video with your marketing is really powerful stuff and as you can see it works.
You don’t need any special effects whatsoever actually most of the time folks like home made videos and you just being yourself. I hope this helps you and gives you an idea for your marketing so you can apply it to your business.

If you’re using a wordpress platform they’re already doing all the great stuff on your blog as far as search engine optimization. I know this first hand, actually a few days ago I was watching a video of Matt Cutts from Google and he mentioned this as well.
He said wordpress is made to do search engine optimization pretty well. This coming from one of Google’s top guy so that tells you something! But really I know this based on my own experience.
One key to my success in blogging is blog post search engine optimization. What this means is I simply optimize my blog post and many bloggers actually neglect this part and by doing so you hurt your blog because you’ll be attracting non qualified traffic,
And this will be hard to convert to either subscribers or buyers because they’re simply not looking for your stuff. That’s why it is very important to implement search engine optimization on every blog post to get qualified traffic to your blog that will convert into subscribers or will lead into a sale.
It is very simple to do this and I will show you a few things that you can do. First I think about what topic my readers want me to blog about it.
If you don’t have any ideas ask/survey your readers or if you have a Google analytics account find out what topic has the most views on your blog and base your blog post there or just get an idea for your new post.

When you decided what topic you want to blog about then do a keyword research (specific keyword) for this particular post to see how many people are actually looking for whatever you’re going to blog about and I primarily use Google Keyword Tools (as shown below)

Now that you found out what keyword folks are looking for then what you need to do is incorporate this keyword into your blog post “Title” NOTE: make sure it make sense and make it compelling and not just stuff your keywords in just because.
Also you need to put these keywords throughout the body of your blog post (content) NOTE AGAIN: Please do not over use the keywords, this is considered search engine spamming.
Folks if you do this right you’ll see a significant increase in your qualified traffic, Google doesn’t have a problem putting your blog in front of millions of people if it’s done right and it’s relevant and NOT to use any tricks and cheat the search engine.

As you’ve seen on the video Google put my blog in just 24 hours in front of millions and this gave me a pretty good qualified traffic that turned into a few sales
not to be boastful but Google always puts me on the first page for certain keywords that I’m targeting not because I am using some kind of SEO software or some kind of magic formula.
I had to prove my blog to Google and other search engines for a couple of years that I will provide quality content and do it consistently (rain or shine). In return now it’s simple for me to be on the first page of a search engine for a certain keyword…
So if you implement search engine optimization to every blog post on your blog, do it consistently and provide value to your readership then the search engine will reward you for that and your blog will be an authority in no time.
BTW: I also talk about this on my “Vegas Traffic Jam” actually I have a wordpress plugin that I use to automate my search engine optimization and for those of you that have a copy of “Vegas Traffic Jam” please re-read it and put this into action,

When your traffic increases you should see some increase in your sales too. It makes sense right? The more people that go to your blog the more potential customers you’ll gain.
But the big question is, “What else can you do to increase your traffic on your blog?” If you’re doing just the basics in driving traffic to your blog/site you know the typical PPC (PayPerClick) and exchanging links and so on…
You should also add social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon and others to your to do list as this will definitely increase your traffic.
Just spend time with them, if you haven’t created an account yet it’s easy and it’s free all you have to do is create your account, then profile, and that’s it.
Here’s what I usually do besides my own list that I send out every Tuesday and Thursday I also send my blog post to all my followers at Facebook, Stumbleupon, Twitter and so on…
Just telling them that I have another great tip or information that they can use and benefit from and it will leave the link that will lead to that particular post. Like for example (see the images below):



As you can see every time I have a blog post I also post it on my social media account and this really increases my traffic because I am diverting that traffic to my blog as you can see on the graph screenshot (from TwitterAnalyzer.com)
below the date I twitted about my blog post the graph spiked up and this means I got tons of traffic. As you can see below the graphics my Readers Reached: 2943 and Unique Readers Reached: 987
Folk these numbers will definitely make a big difference with my traffic and my bottom line NOW! This is just my twitter account.

OK! Folks but it doesn’t stop here I mean you can divert traffic from anywhere or from any site back to your blog but if your blog post sucks then you can’t really convert that traffic to either buy from you or subcribe to your blog!
So your blog post should be valuable and have something that your readership can get from it and benefit from and this will also give them a reason to come back to your blog.
They’ll also get to know you and it will build a solid relationship and TRUST between your readers and you! This is what will trigger them to buy from you over and over again!
