Folks I am getting better and better every day. I just confirmed what I had it was H1HN but it’s all over now and I’m back in action. As I said I will be talking more about helping small local businesses for profit.

But first before I go further I want to let you know that this business requires you to have knowledge in internet marketing to help small businesses in your area.

Guys this business has been very great for me and I’ve helped many businesses here in Las Vegas and throughout the United States from Pest Control business, Car Repair Shop to Natural Health Products Store and as you can see NOT a single one of my clients are in the internet marketing crowd they all have a real offline business.

No doubt that this business is lucrative, just imagine having a clientele that actually has money not just those folks that buy 9 dollar ebooks, then ask for refund, Small Business clientele have a mindset that when they approach you they’re ready to pay you.

Just like the “Bank Robber” these guys go for the bank because that’s where the money is simple as that, right? It’s the same with business you gotta go to the markets that have money. NOT to the markets that are broke then they can’t buy or afford your services, it make sense right?

So how does all this work? Well like what I said you need your internet marketing knowledge so you can sell these services to small businesses.

They need a lot of services because now they know the local advertising like the phone book and radio advertising are no longer effective so they’re desperate for new strategies that are cost effective at the same time it will give them a great return on their investment.

Folks I know this very well because I’ve been doing this for over 3 years now and this is my focus in my business is to help business owners do business on the internet.

Ok! If you have the knowledge on setting up blogs, squeeze pages (I called them lead generation page), basic SEO, know how to setup google map, basic graphics design and you’re a “go getter” then this is for you man!

The way you charge small businesses is to either sell a package or charge them by the hour. Me, I do both. Like for example you can  charge them anywhere  $50 to $100.00 per hour or put a package together called “Build Your List Of Buyers” package and this is for $1500.00 and includes:

Setting up a lead generation page, configuring their autoresponder, creating the pages with their business brand, like logo of the company, color scheme and look and feel, also include local search engine optimization, setting up google map now this is just an example of course you can do more…

These services alone can be offered to local pest control, Chiropractor, Dentist, Real Estate agent, apartment managers and much more. This is just an example but you can create more packages like consulting and setting up a business blog.

Man this is where the money is because there’s more work and this will be the most effective way of getting new business or leads is by blogging so you can make more by training their staff or coaching them how to blog.

I have a student that I’ve been coaching his name is Mark Valentine and now he’s doing great! A couple of days ago when I talked to him he said he had a few clients that he’s working with plus a new client, I am really happy for Mark he really puts what he learns into action and now he knows that where ever he goes he can have work for himself.

Now I don’t want you to overwhelm you with a bunch of information I will do this slowly but surely. Guys I do this every single day and as long as there’s a small business then you have a business so it’ a business for life that you can pass along to your kids…

But in the coming future I will probably coach a small group of people that are willing to take their business to the next level and I will teach them everything I know and how I do it, so make sure that you’re always here and participate.

In today’s post I just want to tell each and everyone that I appreciate all of you guys. Thank you so much for all the “Get Well Soon” wishes and greetings. I got tons of email, Skype, Facebook messages, phone calls and voice mail messages.

Again thank you so much to everyone. I usually don’t get sick like this but I guess I’m getting old. Also too I’ve been over worked lately so I guess its lots of stress too. Folks I’m still in the recovery mode and I didn’t forget about you.

But next week I will definitely be back in full action. I’ve got lots of great ideas to share with you and many people are asking me if I can teach them to be a coach for small businesses.

Well that’s what I want to talk about next week when I get back because I know there’s a great demand for this even in these tough times.

Also when the economy goes back up there would be an explosion in this niche because the small businesses right now are very desperate to stay in business and even if they survive they would like to stay in business. Makes sense, right?

Guys almost a week ago I changed the header graphic of my blog and I’m not kidding 15 minutes after I changed it I received 3 phone calls and they’re all potential customers.

I can’t believe one said the site really caught her attention and she would like to hire me to coach her she’s a software developer so it’s a great sign that my new look is working but what really amazed me was the traffic.

Like what I said on the video you ONLY need a few things to make your blog or site remarkable. You need to have a header graphic that will grab your visitor’s attention so they’ll read the rest of your blog and will stay on your blog for a long time.

The longer they stay on your blog there’s more of a chance that they’ll buy your products or services and they’ll also get to know you better.

So again to get your visitors attention your header graphic should be remarkable, unique and must convey your business or your products and services that’s it so that means you need to brand and customize your header graphic.

If you can hire someone that can understand direct response graphics then it’s worth the investment, believe me.

Remember no matter how great your content and your products and services if you don’t grab their attention first to let them go through your blog or site they’ll never see and find out what you have to offer so that means no one will buy whatever your selling. Makes sense, right?

For many of you guys that are regulars here on my blog you know I have a consulting business as well as selling my own products, and in today’s post I would like to share with you this powerful tool that I use almost every single day.

I use this almost 98% of the time when dealing with my clients and teaching my students. This is a software program called Skype watch the video below for more details on a Skype feature that most people don’t know about which is the Share Screen feature so watch it:

As you can see it’s a very powerful tool that you can use if you’re running a business online. You can use this to train your staff or your customers or to walk someone through on how to navigate your site where to buy your products and so on.

Skype is FREE as long as it’s Skype-To-Skype there’s no hidden charges you’re only going to spend money if you want to make a local call to someone that doesn’t have Skype account but Skype to Skype is completely free.

Guys I can’t run my business without it! I’m serious; it helps me a lot that’s why I am sharing this with you so you can do the same for your business. Again the image below shows the details on where to click the share screen feature on Skype (image is my actual conversation with my contact)

Oh you can also make a voice and video call on Skype but you need to have a headset for the microphone and speaker, also a webcam for video calls so people can see you.

I was doing extensive research on how small businesses survived during the past great depression in the 1930’s and how is it different from this economy that were facing.

So you and I can learn from it but really most businesses that survived during the great depression are those that has strong relationships with their customers.

Businesses that stand on the principle that no matter what they’re going to provide what their customers need while treating them with respect and providing value and quality service.

Another thing that small business did back then is to diversify like this one article that I read rather than closing their beer business down they diversified into dairy farming, Broadway shows, and dance halls during the great depression instead of shutting down or selling out.

Many businesses are also looking for new opportunities to stay in business by trading services or by bartering. I know what we have today is a different situation but the principles on surviving this are the same: to diversify and to provide 100% customers satisfaction.

If you pay attention on what’s happening this is actually true, look at what happened to the auto industries most of them either filed bankruptcy or begged for a bail out.

But Toyota remained standing strong and people still buying their cars because their cars are top notch quality and they treat their customers right and with respect.

Same thing with Mac computers their stock market is at an all time high because their computers are top notch quality and they stand on their principle of providing customer satisfaction.

Folks in today’s business world it’s tough but history tells us if you diversify, pay attention for new opportunities, and treat your market right then you’ll be fine.

But see you can even do more now because you have so many tools like the internet and many are very inexpensive like for instance this Bedding’s company that has been profiled on CNN last night.

I think the company name is Long’s Bedding from New York they survived the great depression in the past and now they’re also doing great.

Actually they refuse to cut back and layoff their employees but rather they cut their phone book advertising and use the power of the internet they are now taking orders online.

Hmmm… I’ve been ONLY talking about this for years now!  So if you’re a small business owner and want to survive in this economy well there you go just do all the steps that I talked about above and incorporate the power of the internet.

Start blogging and build your community online that will buy from you, use social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin to reach more customers.

Also keep in mind you need to increase your marketing effort to get more customers and stay in business and having a powerful and effective internet presence like a blog will definitely help your small business survive and thrive.

I’m NOT just simply talking about this but I am living proof that in spite of all this negativity, doom and gloom my business is really thriving because I implement everything that I was telling you about.

I know for many small businesses 2009 was hell… well actually for many people too, actually this speaker in our church the other Sunday said if you’re still alive in 2010 you should celebrate because you are a survivor.

Really if you survive these tough times you’ll be untouchable when the economy goes back up plus knowing that your business is strong and can survive the depression is a big accomplishment and goes with your business credibility.

Last year I met a guy actually a client of mine his name is Donald Hunter. I received a call from him, someone that knows me recommend my service “Blogging Consultation.”

So he called and when I picked up the phone I heard a very deep voice I thought at first it was maybe an anchor on television or radio station, we talked and he hired me to do some work on his blog I mean the whole 9 yards.

Me and Don really clicked we both liked working together and Donald has lots of great ideas for his business. He wanted to brand his blog so it will stand out and he really wants to learn all things about blogging because he knows this is the way to go if you have a small business.

Folks in working with Donald I have turned down 2 projects so I can focus on his projects it is special to me because Donald has really inspired me big time and I will tell you why in a second.

By the way Donald Hunter is very technical he knows lots of stuff in computer as far as languages like the old stuff Cobol, Basic, Lotus 1 2 & 3 and networking. Donald has MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He also holds a BA in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Donald Hunter has achieved the prestigious designation as a Certified Financial Planner and has the following licenses in financial services like Life, health, and disability insurance, Series 66 to offer financial advice, and a real estate broker for financing funding transactions.

Oh! He also worked for a big company Sun Microsystems, Inc. for very long time but he decided to start his very own business and live freely

One thing I like about Don is we share the same values as far as beliefs in God and he has a passion for helping others. We talk a lot about these things and we just became really good friends like family.

This happens all the time with the majority of my clients we end up being friends… Well anyways I started working with his blog late August last year and I taught Donald everything I know about blogging.

He also bought a copy of my Vegas Traffic Jam and implemented a few strategies and had a great results. Don and I continue to work together we collaborate and mastermind all the time but one thing with Donald he always applies the “Quick Implementation Method” all the time he does not mess around.

He even hired my wife to do his SEO, by the way my wife is top notch when it comes to search engine optimization she knows the money keywords my wife doesn’t usually work for anyone other than exclusively just helping me but Darcie, my wife loves Donald too because he is so kind.

Oh! Here’s Donald’s blog by the way…

Just in a short amount of time DonaldHunterFinancial.com is successful in many ways like the traffic for instance his blog now generates 65 unique visitors per day and a hundred of returning visitors. Take a look the screenshot below”

His blog also got approved with adsense right away for an additional stream of income. He also mentions to me that he’s getting lots of singup, optins and even phone calls, so everything is wonderful and I am really happy for him.

But the thing that really inspires me about Donald Hunter is he’s blind, yes totally blind not just partial but he’s been completely blind since he was seven from a reaction to medication.

I know right now there’s lot of question in your head I had them too when I met him but let me answer just one for you. I know your question would be “How does he see his computer?”

Well he has this software that reads his computer screen that’s all. The rest still leaves me wondering but really Donald is an inspiration for many of us it’s not that I feel bad for him or his situation oh! no believe me when you meet Don you probably feel bad for yourself just kidding.

Really this should be an inspiration for all of us whether in life or business many of us we have everything it takes to go for it, to start a business, to just do it but for Donald this is a huge step to start his own business.

And yet when I talk to him he makes it sound like everything is piece a cake that’s why he continues to inspire me. So the moral of the story is don’t let anything hold you back from pursuing your happiness and passion just freakin do it man!

And like Donald does not wait he always applies the “Quick Implementation Method”. Many times you don’t think about what you put on your blog or site. You want it to look great and when you see everyone else doing it you want yours to have all this bells and whistles too.

But lots of those things can actually hurt your business if you’re not careful. Believe me I know because I’ve experienced it along with the clients I deal with every single day so I know what works and what doesn’t and all this is based on my own experience.

Like what I have on my title I would like to ask you this question “Are You Giving Your Traffic Away?” I am asking this because I would like to point out one of the plugins that is no good if you’re running a Business Blog or if your blogging for business.

If my drawing is not clear or you don’t have a clue what plugin I am talking about here’s the image of the plugin that I’m referring to.

You see not all plugins are good for your Business Blog you need to think about what benefits your business, your readership, and your customers.

This plugin as far as I’m concerned does not give your audience value what so ever, actually you are sending them away rather keeping them on your blog as long as possible so they’ll get to see your product and services page where you sell your own stuff.
