Social Proof To Influence Customers and Buyers

For the past (almost) four years now I’ve been a work from home Dad, fulltime blogger and a business consultant. It’s been great and I’ve accomplished many things in a short amount of time.

Often in the nature of my business you will see businesses shows social proof of their accomplishments. Some will show their million dollar account; some show screenshots of their sales and many testimonials.

Well I understand the power of social proof because it establishes instant credibility and authority on the business you’re in. It just confirms to your audience that you’re the “go to” guy, you’re the expert, you know what you’re doing and obviously you do what you preach.

But the real power of social proof is its influence on customers and buyers and it gives them confidence to buy from you, it pretty much just seals the deal. I totally understand why business and professionals uses social proof.

Also if you notice I use it as well, I have it on my “About Me page” and on my “Consulting and Services page” and I have all those Paypal screenshots as well but I wanted to share this with you.

Below is an image of such powerful social proof that I can show you guys and it’s priceless you can’t put a price tag on it:

Brandon Hallado

The picture above is my son Brandon Hallado and I want to use him as social proof because simply of the story behind it. First I haven’t seen him for the past 9 years (He’s in the Philippines).

And I’ve really been trying hard to bring him here to re-unite with us here in Las Vegas but financial wise it’s tough being a sole provider for my family here in Vegas and in the Philippines. It was hard even when I was working 9 to 5 job.

To make a long story short Brandon’s paper work is all set everything is paid; the petition paper, visa the whole 9 yards. Yesterday we got the paper work saying his Visa interview is on July 9th and after that it’s just a plane ticket and he’ll be here and it worked out great because it’s also his birthday on August 3rd so he will celebrate his 19th birthday here in Vegas with us.

And I couldn’t do this without the help of my best friend Beau Penaranda who helped us with whatever he could. Love you big Bro and thank you so much.

But my whole point of all this and using Brandon as my social proof is because of my business I am able to bring my son over here to be with us even though it’s been tough everywhere and in spite of the economy I’ve been able to do this with just my business.

Yes I will now see my son after 9 years and this is my powerful social proof and it’s priceless. It’s all based on my Real-Life experience. This is all because of my own business and I know it’s GOD’s will.

Folks I just wanted to share this with you and let you know what your business can do for you and your family also I want to let you know that God is still in the miracle business 😀

Well I hope that this inspires you and encourages you to keep moving forward. Also I hope that you learn the real value and power of social proof (The real one 😀 ) Also please, please spread the word and share this idea with someone who needs more customers.

How To Connect With Your Readers

Folks today I have a special guest and she’s been wanting to write here on my blog for a long time but she’s been pretty busy with school but finally she had some time. She has some real great stuff for all of us yes I said for all of us because even me I learned a couple things just by reading her very short post.

But first let me introduce my daughter, Gilian Aja Hallado, she’s 11 years old and she’s in the 5th grade… By the way she’s a straight “A” student and a very good girl, she does her chores (most of the time) she always go to church and Sunday school too (that’s her fave).

Oh! She’s a blogger like me too! Take it away Baby girl… Love you Ja-bean.

Ok! Daddy here we go!

When having a business online you want to have some kind of connection with your readers and audience. The first step you need to make your viewers want to read your stuff. And the way to do that is by being nice and by sharing some of your previous work (valuable content) that you’ve done for your customers.

The second thing you need to do is to build up trust. You can build trust by getting to know your customer and what they need and want from their likes and dislikes. The third thing you need to do is stay in touch so that any time they want or need help with their business you’re there to lend a hand. The fourth thing is to be honest.

Don’t lie to your customers and say, “Oh, it’s beautiful, no, I don’t think it’s ugly!” when you know for a fact it’s not gonna draw any attention at all, whatsoever. Let them know what’s gonna work  and what’s not. The fifth thing you need to do is to never take your customers for granted. They might not be there tomorrow or the next day.

That’s all for now folks, take care!

Gilian

Till Next Time and God Bless You!
