If you’re a local small business you can create a business listing with Google places for free and this can be very powerful because it can give your business website plenty of traffic that can result in some sales or subscriptions, but ONLY if you do it right.

Many business owners I talk to when they need a business website I ask this question “What is your ultimate goal for having a business website?”

Many times I get the same response “You Know Albert I really don’t know!” and sometimes they will say, “I guess because everyone else has one.”

You see nowadays your business website is not just a typical site anymore it is more like a business tool. But the ultimate goal of your website is to get more customers and buyers over the internet and to make your website work for your business.

If you have a website that doesn’t do anything then that’s a bad business decision don’t you think? And it’s just a waste of time, effort and money. Well of course after telling them this, many ideas will come to their mind and they will ask me, “So Albert how can your business website get you new or more customers?”

I get their attention all the time when telling them that their website will generate new customers because they understand more customers means more sales it’s simple math.

To make your website work for your business and to get more customers you must first build a unique business web design to grab your visitors attention.

You know on the internet you have only “seconds” to capture your visitors attention and if your website is not unique then it’s just another site.

To make it unique you simply incorporate your business brand or business logo maybe and use an image that conveys your business so your visitors know right off the bat when landing to your site what it’s about.

Another strategy that you can do to get more customers from your website is to capture their information like name and email address so you can continue to market to them maybe in the future you’ll have a special offer or sales and you can let your customers know through an email.

Just like my website I have an optin form below my post so you can sign up and when I have a new post I will simply email you about it.

You can also participate in social networking sites and connect with your potential customers there and let them know about your business website.

You can also use a video to get more traffic just by uploading your video to YouTube of course in your video you have the name of your website and phone number on it.

Also remember that you have an audience on the internet that are both human and search engine and both will be really pleased if you provide useful, valuable information and keyword optimization that your customers and search engines would appreciate.

This is the reason for your customers to come back to your site for more same as the search engine. You see it’s NOT very complicated, actually it’s simple. Now let me ask YOU “What Is Your Ultimate Goal For Your Business Website?”
