Get New Customers For Your Business

I get emails every day asking me how do I get new customers for my business. Well, I might sound like a broken record here on my website telling everyone to use the power of the internet. You know, like having a website or blog for your Business, the usual stuff, that’s all.

Folks, I can tell you that I am blessed because I don’t have a shortage on new customers. Actually everyday now I get proposals from huge companies to advertise on my website because they know I have a consistent flow of traffic and they want to capitalize on that. While I can understand their reasons it’s just not my business model at this time.

Really, I don’t do anything special to get new customers for my business just like all these successful companies do; I just have a website/blog. I have a website design that works. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about. Take a look at Zappos.com (A multi-billion dollar company) even Tony Hsieh the CEO is using a website/blog to get more customers and new customers.

That’s why Zappos never has a shortage with new customers because they use the power of the internet to connect and interact with their customers, and guess what? they have a website 😀

You know, many of you already know how to do all this, especially my regular readers here. I think you just need to do it… Yeah “Just Do It” like Nike says, and stop procrastinating! So get a website that works for your business that way you can get new customers for your business too!

Trust Will Get You More Customers

Yes, definitely, “trust” will get you more customers. For the past 3 years I’ve had the same customers and many new customers as well.

The main reason that customers keep coming back is because they trust me or else they would be going somewhere else.

Since many of my regular customers trust me, most of the time they spread the word for me. They tell people about my products and services that I provide.

That’s why most of the time I will get a phone call or an email saying, “Hi Albert, I am friends with so and so and he/she said that you do a great job building a business website and I would like to hire you.”

That is the typical conversation and that’s the start of new business relationship. Folks I want to talk to you about this because many of you overlook things like this.

Often you invest your time on seo or a new way of traffic generation and other things. Don’t get me wrong those are great, but building trust with your customers is a “MUST” period.

You can use seo for your site all day long and blog all day long, but if your customers don’t trust you then they will not buy from you and they will not use your services.

And worse they will tell their friends that they don’t trust you. So how do you build trust to get more customers? Well, this is NOT an overnight thing, it takes time.

Just like any other relationship you and your customers need to get to know each other and there’s no better way to do this than by engaging with your customers and you can do this by simply addressing what they need from you.

For example if they email you and ask you a simple question you should answer them. Or if they comment on your website participate in the conversation, in that way you can get to know each other.

I have this customer of mine that calls me at least once a month; he’s a small business owner from New York and he calls just to say “Hi” and every time I talk to him he always says, “Man Albert, even though I haven’t seen you yet in person I feel like I’ve known you all my life.”

Actually I have many customers that have become friends of mine and they’re all over the world. I have Frances, I have Ian from Australia, I have Troy from Tennessee, and Duane from Mississippi, man they’re everywhere.

It all started from a simple engagement in conversation and from there they feel comfortable with me and they hire me. You see, when customers hire you or buy from you it doesn’t end there.

As a business owner that’s your chance to show your customers how much you care for them and you are always there to help.

So when you get an email or phone call from your customers take that as an opportunity for you to build a relationship so your customers will trust you and when they do, not only will you get more customers, but you’ll have customers for life.

Another thing you can do is, from time to time, just send a personal email to your customers and just say hi and see how they’re doing. Better yet give them a call. I promise you when they need your services you’re the first person that will come to their mind.

You really need to invest some time to build a relationship with your customers to trust you and your business. Keep in mind, without customers, you don’t have a business, it’s as simple as that.

Winning The Local Search For Your Business

Man this time of the year gets busy on the internet and yes I am busy all the time now and many of you are asking me how they can win the local search engine to get the customers around their areas. Well that’s a great question. Watch my video below and find out how simple it is…



So two things: register your business in Google Places and incorporate a keyword on your title post that your target market would typically type in the search engine like Google.

So when your customers look for your services guess what? Your website will show up in one of the results and then they will go to your business website and they will see your phone number or contact you directly on your site to buy or use your services.

Imagine if you get like 5 new customers from local searches, that’s a whopping 150 new customers per month you think you can use 150 new customers? Well it’s all up to you  😀
