Deals & Urgency = More Customers

When you combine these two together, deals and urgency, what you get is more customers, believe me it works, I’ve tried it myself.

You know me; I don’t give out something that I haven’t tested myself. Here in America after Thanksgiving there is a “Black Friday” sale with deals and urgency.

There are low prices on lots of items, but some deals are great. For instance, a big screen 46″ TV bundled with a DVD player, 5 DVD’s, and a digital camera for only $450.00! Now that’s a deal right?

On Black Friday many retailers open very early, often at 4 a.m., or earlier, and offer great deals and promotional sales to kick off the shopping season.

You can see it in the local news many people are camping outside the store as early as Wednesday and spending their Thanksgiving outside the store waiting till early morning Friday when the store opens for Black Friday.

But there are many folks that are wondering why people are doing this. What drives them to skip the Thanksgiving Holiday, camp outside the store and wait for a few days, in the freezing cold?

Many will simply tell you because of the low prices. Well, at some point in every store they always have sales. Almost every day, even if it’s not the holiday, you can just go to the clearance section and you’ll see all kind of sales.

What makes customers crazy and makes them camp outside and wait is the “deals and urgency.” On Black Friday there are some products that you can only get if you’re the first 100 customers. Sometimes they only have certain items on sale for a certain amount of time.

Let’s say it’s only available till 6:00 AM after that the price goes back to regular. So I am telling you, if you combine these two, Deals and Urgency, you will definitely get more customers. And like what I said, this thing works.

Just last week I used this strategy; I sent out an email saying all of my products and services are 50% off but ONLY till Wednesday, and it worked! A few new customers came in and closed the deal. I did this too on my birthday, if you remember and it worked too.

Now you know, so use it and apply it to your business and you’ll see the sales will start coming…

Serving Your Customers Can Boost Sales

I know many small businesses and even individuals are hurting right now financially. Many of my friends are having the same difficulties. So, I would like to share these powerful strategies that work like a charm all the time.

For the past few months this is what I’ve been doing. When I get a client and close a deal for consulting or web development I will do work for them and exceed their expectation. Like for example, if they buy a couple hours of my time I will give them one hour or more and NOT charge them.

And when I close a deal with web development I will do lots of extra work that is not included in the contract that we agreed on. It could be installing a plugin, creating more graphics to make the site more remarkable, or just doing whatever I know that will add value to serve them. I will just do it and never ask them for anything in return.

But at the end I still make more money you know why? Because they appreciate me and since I gave them so much value and free stuff, they will take the initiative to either recommend me to someone or give me referral.

Just like last week I did lots of extra work for this particular client of mine and he noticed that and when I was done with our project he sent me more money.

Then he also sent someone that needed my service and we closed the deal with that too. This happens all the time. So serving your customers can really boost your sales big time.

Really, there’s nothing to it, just serve them and give them more and in return you will get more customers and business. This is a very simple strategy, but yet very powerful.

I know if you’re a business owner, you want to be selling more of your services, especially in these times.

I would like to share this with you so you can do the same. For the last few weeks it’s been really great as far as business is going.

Don’t get me wrong; I’ve had some difficult times too and was kind of scared a little bit and wondering what happened to my sales but its all part of the business.

Anyways, like what I said, business is doing great and you’re probably thinking that I did some kind of advertising or found a new traffic generation.

No, I did NOT run any advertisements whatsoever; I did not get a new lead or anything. I just did this very simple thing that resulted in a few thousand in sales.

So here’s what I did first I sent an email out to my regular customers and asked them if they needed anything or if there’s something I can help them with and I said if it’s just a simple thing I will do it for free.

Then I told them that I am running a promotion and all of my products and services are 50% off. After that I made a few phone calls and just said hi to see how they’re doing and reminded them that I am here if they need any help with anything.

The next day the sales started coming and here’s what had the snow-ball affect on everything.

It was a very simple thing I told these folks, right after were about done talking I told them, “I want to thank you for your business and I would like you to know that I really appreciate you, also if you know someone that needs my service please let them know or have them call me.”

Guess what? 100% of them said a big YES to me and my phone continued to ring and it’s been ringing for awhile now! 😀

And you can do the same this applies to any business, whatever you’re selling you can implement this and it will work.

Bottom line is if your nice to your customers they will love you and will help you spread the word and give you referrals that will result in few thousand in sales or maybe more.
