I can’t tweak or add codes to wordpress template untill I upgrade, so how free is wordpress?

I agree that Wordpress is much better, because of all of the free themes and plug-ins you can get.

If you have a cPanel with your hosting then all you have to do is click on Fantastico Deluxe, then Wordpress, answer a few questions, and it will be installed for you. It takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish.

What about web hosts that don’t use a cPanel? One of the most famous web host doesn’t use cPanel, and they have thousands of customers. I am referring to H4P. They have their own WebePanel. How can you install Wordpress there?

Every theme you want to install, has directions similar to this: - “Upload the theme folder into the theme folder. [ URL/wp-content/themes/ ]“

If you have used Fantastico, and already have installed a blog, then there is already a wp-content/themes folder for you to upload your new blog into. In the case of hosts like H4P, do you make a NEW empty wp-content/themes folder to upload you Wordpress blog into it?

I hope someone has an answer to this question.

For at least a year now, it’s been possible to install a Blogger blog on your own domain…which gives you the control you stated you wanted.

I have a number of Wordpress sites in various niches and I have a few blogger blogs which I use to link to these in various ways.

Wordpress is obviously more versatile and can be customized to your hearts content unlike blogger blogs. Wordpress requires more knowledge to install and make changes but it is far more professional-looking for a visitor.

They both have their uses but if I had to choose one there’s not contest. It has to be Wordpress of course.
